Staggeringly Quick: Rossi On The Fast Track To Recovery

Don't let the crutches fool you. Just five weeks after breaking his leg at Mugello, Valentino Rossi climbed on Cal Crutchlow's Yamaha Superbike at Brno, and by the end of the day knocked almost two-tenths of a second off Crutchlow's lap record at the track, set the day before in the World Superbike race, on the very same bike that Vale rode. If this is how fast Rossi is on a Superbike when he's nursing a pinned leg and a bum shoulder, just think how fast he'd be if he were in good health.

UPDATE: Video from the Brno test. Watch it quick before it's zapped.

  1. Looks like Rossi is still trying to wind Max Biaggi up. "I'm off work with a broken leg and I'm bored. I guess I'll take it easy by setting a new Superbike new lap record."
