So Much For Warm And Fuzzy. New H-D CEO Says Life Is Tough, Get Over It.



Harley-Davidson CEO Keith Wandell wasn't hired to sugar-coat the situation:


"I wish to God I could stand in front of everybody and say that you're going to be guaranteed a job for life," Wandell said. "We'd all be great friends and pat each other on the back and walk into the sunset together. You know what? Life isn't that simple."

Wandell's remark came in response to a question from a member of the United Steelworkers Union who is an employee at the Wauwatosa factory, and who said unionized production workers aren't "feeling the love" from company management.
